Melissa MacAlpin has been making books, comics, and illustrations professionally for 16 years. Her published work is featured in the Bingham Center Zine Collection at Duke University, Penn State Special Collections Library, the SVA Visual Arts Library, and the Newark Public Library. Her work has exhibited at Penn State, Brooklyn Academy of Music, ABC No Rio, gaia studios in Jersey City, Powerhouse Arena in New York and the John Cotton Dana Library in Newark NJ. After earning her BFA at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, Melissa received her Master of Fine Arts in Book Arts/Printmaking from University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is currently an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Felician University in New Jersey. In addition to teaching graphic design Melissa also teaches studio classes in Book Arts as well as Comics and Zines.
