Lizz deSimone
Lizz deSimone is a New Jersey based artist, specializing in printmaking and painting. In the last year, she has made and shown her work in New Jersey and New York. deSimone received her BFA from SUNY Purchase College School of Art & Design where she focused in printmaking and art history. She is currently working as an art teacher at the Craig High School in Boonton, NJ.
DeSimone frequently uses photography to document her walks around the areas local to where she has lived. She uses combinations of architecture and organic imagery as a way to document and archive experience. deSimone uses various printmaking and painting techniques combined with crafting methods usually associated with women’s work to evoke questions about what makes a home, and how long does a home last?
